This policy explains what personal information ZeezBeez collects when you visit zeezbeez.com or place an order, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. We've tried to write this in plain English. If anything is unclear, email sharon@zeezbeez.com and we'll explain.
1. What we collect
When you place an order or contact us, we collect:
Contact details — name, email address, phone number, billing and shipping address.
Order details — what you bought, when, the amount paid, any notes you left at checkout.
Payment information — handled directly by our payment providers (Shopify Payments, Shop Pay, PayPal). ZeezBeez does not see or store your card number, CVV, or bank details. The payment providers give us a confirmation that payment succeeded, plus the last 4 digits of the card for receipt purposes.
Browsing information — when you visit zeezbeez.com, your browser sends us standard technical information (IP address, browser type, referring page, pages viewed, time spent). Some of this comes through cookies — see our Cookie Notice.
Anything you choose to send us — emails, contact-form messages, social-media messages.
We do not ask for or collect:
Government-issued ID
Date of birth
Sensitive information (health, religion, political views, etc.) unless you volunteer it in an email
2. Why we collect it
We use your information only to:
Fulfil your order — process payment, pack the right products, post them to the right address with MyPost Business.
Communicate about your order — confirmation emails, shipping notifications, follow-up if there's a problem.
Reply to your questions — when you email or use our contact form.
Keep proper accounting records — our accountant needs invoice and payment records to do BAS and tax returns. Australian tax law (ATO) requires us to keep these records for 7 years.
Comply with the law — e.g. if a court or government agency makes a lawful request.
We do not use your information for:
Selling to third parties
Profiling or automated decisions
Marketing emails — we do not currently send marketing emails to customers. If we ever start, we'll update this policy and only email customers who have explicitly opted in.
3. Who we share it with
We use the following service providers to run ZeezBeez. They each have access to the minimum amount of your data needed to do their job:

We do not share your information with anyone else for marketing, profiling, or onward sale.
4. International data transfers
Several of the providers above are based overseas (USA, NZ). When you place an order, your information may be transferred to and stored on servers in those countries. We rely on those providers' own contractual safeguards (e.g. Standard Contractual Clauses for EU transfers, the various US adequacy frameworks where applicable) to keep your data secure. If you're in the EU or UK and would like details of the specific safeguards we rely on, email sharon@zeezbeez.com and we'll send them.

After these periods, we delete or de-identify the information.
6. Your rights
You have the right to:
Access — ask what personal information we hold about you, and get a copy.
Correction — ask us to fix anything that's wrong.
Deletion — ask us to delete your information, subject to records we're legally required to keep (e.g. ATO-mandated invoice records).
Withdraw consent — for anything you previously opted in to.
Complain — to us first (sharon@zeezbeez.com), and if you're not satisfied, to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au or 1300 363 992.
EU and UK customers additionally have rights under GDPR including data portability and the right to object to processing. Email us to exercise any of these.
7. Cookies
zeezbeez.com uses cookies — small files your browser stores — to make the site work, remember your cart, and (where you've consented) to measure how the site is being used. See our Cookie Notice for the categories of cookies we use and how to manage your choices.
8. Security
We protect your information with industry-standard measures: TLS encryption for all data in transit (HTTPS on zeezbeez.com), encrypted storage by our providers (Shopify, Microsoft 365, Xero etc.), two-factor authentication on staff accounts, and access controls so only authorised people can access the underlying admin systems. We do not store credit card details ourselves.
No system is 100% secure. If we ever detect a breach affecting your information, we will notify you and the OAIC as required by Australia's Notifiable Data Breaches scheme.
9. Children
zeezbeez.com is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 16. If you believe a child has provided information, email sharon@zeezbeez.com and we will delete it.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top will change. For material changes, we'll post a notice on zeezbeez.com or email registered customers.
